Summer Camps

WEEK 6  :  JULY 13-17

Theme 1:Rock Detectives: Cracking Earth’s Ancient Codes  (NEW!)

Have you ever held a rock that sparkled like a crystal? Or one so smooth and heavy it felt like it fit perfectly in your hand? Every rock has a story — some were born in fire deep beneath the Earth, some were shaped slowly by waves and wind, and some are older than anything we can imagine. In this geology adventure camp, kids become Earth detectives, uncovering the hidden histories locked inside stones big and small. Through hands-on exploration, games, art, and science experiments, campers learn how rocks form, how to identify them, and how to read the clues left behind by volcanoes, oceans, and time itself.

We’ll explore local geology “hot spots,” discovering how the land beneath our feet is always changing — even when it looks still. This week is about curiosity, observation, and learning to see the ordinary world as something ancient, powerful, and full of wonder. Come ready to explore, imagine, and unlock the magic of rocks.

Theme 2: Older Kiddo Camp - Adventures in the Forest Part 1 for Ages 11 - 15**

This camp is part of a 3-part offering for the older kiddos in our community. You can join all three, or pick and choose. The camps will build on each other but it is not necessary to attend all three. Some activities include shelter building, high level camouflage, tracking, birding, exploring, pranks, art-making, wildlife ID, games, and mysteries. Camp will be all-outdoors and will emphasize teamwork, discovery, and personal growth and confidence during the pre-teen and early teen years. We had a LOT of fun with this last year and can’t wait to do it again this summer!
